A Canadian favourite from the English countryside

As we are back in production for the new year we are producing a limited amount of our most popular online product – the glorious squeaky cheese curd. A key ingredient in Poutine, squeaky cheese curd is a cheese experience like no other and you can use it in a number of ways. You can tackle the many variations of Poutine – or try our own recipe here – for the authentic curd experience; you can create the world’s greatest toasted cheese sandwich; use squeaky cheese curd in a salad or a cheese sauce. Pretty much anywhere you can think of using cheese our Squeaky Cheese Curd is a variation that will have you – and everyone who tries it – coming back for more.

Squeaky Cheese Curd at The Frome Independent

frome independent market first sunday of every monthThis Sunday the 5th of March marks the first of the Frome Independent markets for 2017. We don’t usually have curd available at markets but as it is the first of the year we are going to bring along a few bags of the good stuff but be early. Once it is gone, it’s gone. The Frome Independent is an amazing day out for the whole family and we’ll be there as ever with our range of traditionally made farmhouse cheddar cheese. Of course we’ll also have our range of flavoured cheddar also and for the early bird there’ll be the opportunity of some squeaky cheese curd.

If you can’t wait until Sunday and you want to guarantee you get yourself some curd just click this link and order online.

perfectly fresh squeaky cheese curd

Squeaky Cheese Curd

Fresh salted Cheese Curd that squeaks! Enjoy on its own or sprinkle over chips and smother in gravy. Fantastic melted in a sandwich either on its own or in combination with other cheese (particularly with our Fiery Fred!)
